WeArt International is a mulitfaceted, creativity-based organization committed to the promotion of a world community; of understanding, celebration of diversity of culture, and economic development and employment for artists around the world, primarily through the medium of graffiti art, and other grassroots arts and music.
In the hands of talented graffiti artists, expressing the beauty of the human soul and all of it's emotions and colors, WALLS BECOME WORLDS. What once stood as a symbol of separation, of isolation, becomes transformed into a vision of the human heart and soul... of the very fact of being human that inescapably binds us all as brothers and sisters, regardless of our various circumstances and beliefs.
From the times of the caves of Altamira, The early Egyptian and Native American cultures, aboriginal peoples and in fact every human culture throughout time, GRAFFITI, the public art form, has been a core form of human expression.
Modern day graffiti is one of the most misunderstood art forms on earth. Many people have a preconceived notion of what graffiti is, yet have never turned a corner in a rundown urban ghetto to encounter the sudden, breathtaking beauty of a passionate expression of emotion, the vibrant life in living color, of a graffiti mural on the wall of a building, a freeway underpass, or a train or subway car. While many think of the "desecration", "violation", the illegality of many of these stunning works of art... few have actually experienced it as a truly valuable and artful expression of the life of a culture, as seen through the talented eyes of it's creators.... the people you never see or know. The anonymous street talent, showing their own passion for life, their love, defiance, anger, and humor.... creating works that would rival those in any gallery or museum... with a vibrancy and power that is often beyond description.
While some "serious art" collectors are beginning to display graffiti art is galleries and private homes, and individual artists are creating one of a kind pieces for sale, there has yet to be an organization that appreciates that "street art belongs on the street". WeArt International is now that organization. Through both profitable and non-profit divisions, this company will provide a significant outlet for street art from ALL parts of the world, through the creation, distribution and sale of wearable reproductions of actual street art created for this purpose.. In doing so, WeArt International will provide a legitimate career opportunity for these artists to express themselves for the benefit of all of us.
By utilizing the common language of art, WeArt International will further promote the celebration of these street cultures from around the world by providing everyone with the opportunity to wear a beautiful, artful and contemporary expression of this amazing art form. The wearing of WeArt International graffiti art products will promote this beautiful art form, in all of it's various styles and cultures, BY KEEPING STREET ART ON THE STREET.
WeArt International will provide an outlet for expression and a career for these talented artists, and will further support the communities the art comes from through local creation of the pieces. This will be done on a global scale.
The WeArt Foundation will further support these communities with non-profit local art workshops, career opportunities, and through it's support of local artists by providing micro loans to help artists establish viable careers from their expressions of hope, faith, love and brotherhood.
